In 1996 we changed our name to MedicalTranscription.com and expanded our services nationwide, and over the years became involved with digital technologies that enable one to perform transcription services from virtually anywhere.

Also, over the years, it became apparent that MedicalTranscription.com is in a unique position to bring physicians and medical groups together with the thousands of talented local medical transcriptionists that are eager to work. Providing such tools as an inexpensive digital phone-in system, sample formats and contracts, reference and training materials, as well as professional guidance in the medical transcription industry, MedicalTranscription.com intends to bring the local transcription service to the forefront when physicians and medical practices are seeking solid, reliable service.

Naturally, a conflict occurs when a transcription company also provides goods and services to "competing" transcription services.  MedicalTranscription.com therefore has placed all of its contracts with the transcriptionists that serviced them, and we no longer perform transcription services of any kind. We do collect residuals on those accounts we placed out, however we no longer sell or contract medical transcription services, nor will we enter into any agreement with any individual transcription service except those explicitly provided on our website.

MedicalTranscription.com sells advertising and match up services to medical transcription services, as well as advertising to the providers of products of benefit to medical transcriptionists.  We provide free professional guidance, free job posting for transcription services, helpful boards, and a free newsletter that delivers valuable information directly to transcriptionists.  For physicians and medical groups we provide free TRANSCRIPTION MATCH, a program that matches the needs of the practice to pre-qualified transcription services.
